Acadia National Park is a United States national park located in the state of Maine, southwest of Bar Harbor. It is a 47,000-acre Atlantic coast recreation area primarily on Maine's Mount Desert Island. Its landscape is marked by rocky beaches, glacier-scoured granite, wooded areas and peaks like Cadillac Mountain, the highest point on the United States’ East Coast.
